Luke 12:32
[Jesus says,] "Do not be afraid...."
INSPIRATION
Using the phrase, "Mind over matter" usually helps when trying to conquer fears. Another phrase that often helps is when Jesus tells us not to be afraid. If you condition your mind to be afraid to try new things, you will remain where you are. But, if you condition your mind to knowing that your sky has no limits, then you will always soar above your fears. Today, "Do not be afraid."
1 Peter 5:6
"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time."
INSPIRATION
Do not become consumed with who lifts you up or remembers to give you credit for your hard work. When you work hard with humility and sincerity, others will lift you up and in due time, the recognition you were hoping to receive will come out when you least expect it.
Philippians 2:3-4
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
INSPIRATION
Pride makes you think you don't need anyone. Working with the idea of, Big "I's" and little "U's" never provides the opportunity for growth. In fact, it has the potential of setting you back even further away from your goal. If you want to succeed, you have to be willing to look at everyone as someone you need to survive. Today, surprise yourself and tell somebody, "In order for me to get this job done, I need your help." This one statement, lifts up somebody, gets your job done faster and creates a healthier working environment. Try it today!
James 2:17
"Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."
INSPIRATION
There is no point in just saying you have faith. Your true faith becomes reality when you put your beliefs into action and not walk around worried if you made the right decision or not. Today, don't just believe it can happen, make it happen!
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
INSPIRATION
The only reason why we struggle with obtaining peace in our lives is because we are so easily distracted by things that bring us chaos. Trusting in God and maintaining a strong and steadfast faith in Him will allow you to determine what is good or bad for your Christian walk. Today, trust in your decision to let God lead and direct you.
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
INSPIRATION
Sometimes, we have to hurry up and wait for God to reveal His greatness! In time, the strength you thought you lost will be restored if you don't give up on your goal beforehand. In fact, your goal will become easier to obtain when you realize that if you don't finish it, it will only continue to bother you. Today, don't faint, stay strong!
Matthew 6:34
[Jesus says,] "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
INSPIRATION
"I'll get to it tomorrow." Don't get stuck using this phrase too often because it has the capability of turning into a pattern, and before you know it, years have gone by. Instead, finish what you've set out to accomplish each day so that when new days arrive, you can have new ideas, new goals, and new dreams. Today, say, "I'll get to it TODAY!"
Genesis 12:1
The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you."
INSPIRATION
Sometimes, being uncomfortable is exactly what you need for growth. When we are comfortable, we stop looking for new opportunities or we even stop challenging ourselves for new prospects. Know that God desires to move all of us from ordinary to extraordinary, but it will bring some discomfort. Today, don't fear that where God is taking you will mean that you'll never see the things that make you comfortable ever again. It may just require separation for a little while so that you can focus better.
1 John 4:8
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
INSPIRATION
What does love look like? It looks like everything God ever created! It is very simple yet hard at the same time to always show love, but it must happen! If God can look at us every day when we're not showing love and still give us 2nd chances over and over, then who are we to not forgive one another also? When you say you know God, then you know love. Today, show more love!
Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation -- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life -- of whom shall I be afraid?
INSPIRATION
Fear is a state of the mind. If you think you can't succeed, then you are setting yourself up for failure, but, when you know God is the stronghold in your life, you walk around proud of yourself because you didn't let your fears stump your growth. Whatever you stand in fear of, change how you think about that obstacle, speak to that mountain and walk with God!
Isaiah 33:2
O LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.
INSPIRATION
Sometimes, we feel stressed in the morning because we immediately begin to think about everything that has to be done before the evening begins. A good stress reliever before stepping out of the bed would be to say, "Thank you God for waking me up. Let my heart not be troubled by anything you can't help me solve." Take a deep breath and then execute your day. Try that every morning and watch how trouble rolls off your back with no problem.
Psalm 5:3
In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
INSPIRATION
Usually, it is the alarm clock that excites your senses to open your eyes from sleep. But some mornings, when you wake up before the alarm clock, it's not always because you can't sleep, but it's because God has given you all the rest you need to achieve today's goals. When this happens, immediately start talking to God because little by little, you'll begin to plan your day without even realizing it. You'll excite yourself for what may happen and you'll be glad you didn't sleep on His promises. Today, know that no matter how yesterday turned out, last night's rest and this morning's rise allows you to expect new opportunities and of course, new mercies!
Psalm 18:19
He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.
INSPIRATION
Being brought into larger opportunities in your life is God releasing you from tight corners, tight situations, and predicaments that have very little chances for escape. When you have found your exit door from a trial, keep pressing towards it; that is God delighting in you and bringing you into larger opportunities.
John 15:15
[Jesus says,] "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."
INSPIRATION
Sometimes, when we have obtained a level of success, we tend to not share the details of how we got there with others. Well, because Jesus calls us his friend, everything God taught Him, he taught us so that we would be prepared to handle all good days and not so good days in our lives as it pertains to living in prosperity. If we really want success for one another, we have to start looking at each other as friends. Let's teach one another how to get ahead and stay ahead so that prosperity becomes the rule and not the exception in all of our communities.
1 Peter 1:7
These [trials] have come so that your faith -- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire -- may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
INSPIRATION
Let's face it; we would all love to hear God say yes to all of our requests when we want it, right? Well unfortunately, sometimes God has to delay some victories so that we can appreciate His "Yes Time." You may feel like all you hear is, "No or not now," but realize that when your season of "Yes" arrives, you'll be able to look back and be thankful that yesterday is gone and your future is looking brighter. Today, don't rush to get to your "Yes Season." It will arrive sooner than you think.
Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
INSPIRATION
Personal and professional relationships are important to your growth. It is in these relationships where you receive advice, criticism and support from people who want to see you succeed. Once the dialogue begins, both parties find themselves feeding off of one another and then you find yourselves on common ground where both of you can grow to an even higher level of success. Today, let's sharpen each other to reach higher goals and then watch God blow our minds!
Revelation 21:1
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
INSPIRATION
Sure, it's Monday and you may still be exhausted from the weekend's activities, but thank God you can see another Monday! With this new Monday, do something different that will make it feel a Friday and you'll begin to change your outlook on how the rest of the week should go. Today, celebrate a new Monday and the whole week will look brighter!
