It’s a Gut Feeling

Deuteronomy 4:29

But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Having that "gut feeling" doesn't come from what you see. It comes from something you feel on the inside. The heart, where all your vulnerability rests is also where you hold your passion for so many things. If you desire God more in your life, don't let your eyes find him, let your passion direct you to Him, where your heart can be with Him always.

Hanging Out With Peace

Matthew 5:9

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

There's nothing worse than living in a mindset of confusion and chaos. When it becomes difficult to hear the voice of God, it's usually attributed to the noise level getting louder and louder all around you and peace becomes almost impossible to find. One sure way of getting rid of the noise and finding peace is to simply walk away to a place where "peace minded" people hang out. Once surrounded by people who wish to obtain the same kind of peace you desire, the noise begins to dissipate and you begin to focus on the blessings of God. Today, hang with somebody who gives you peace!

Stand Firm Together!

Philippians 1:27-28

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you.

Sometimes I think we think we only need to show love when we think God is watching, i.e.…in church or other worship settings. God expects us to always love and stand together regardless of the setting because He knows the adversary can attempt its destruction at anytime and at any given place. Notice, when we stand with one another, we feel protected and secure. The moment we begin to disagree and fall apart, the more we begin concentrating on whether someone is talking about us and our focus is turned from the Kingdom. Today, protect the Kingdom by standing firm with one another and we will surely put the devil under our feet!

Decisions, Decisions!

Jeremiah 6:16

This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls."

Decisions, decisions; we make them every day. Some are easy to make, others not so easy. Well, the key to making good decisions is to not make them too quickly. Take the time to compare and contrast all possibilities. Whichever direction appears to have your best interest is usually the direction where you find peace. Today, talk your decisions through and walk towards that goal.

Deuteronomy 8:18

But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

The love of money is evil and can throw your vision in the wrong direction, but money itself or rather the management of money is dependent on you. You have to believe that God wants you to prosper. Your skills, your talents and even that good hustle you have on the side are all part of His plan to help you produce wealth. Don't be misled that you don't need money to live; you just don't need to fall in love with it to succeed. Remember, God wants you to prosper in all that you do to live a healthy life spiritually, physically, AND financially.

My Hope Is Built

Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

It's one thing to hope you get a new job or hope to get a new car or even hope to win the lottery, but with all those "hopes" and not have hope in the Lord, these pleasures will not last. To hope in the Lord means that before you started your new goal, you already knew that you were equipped for success because strength to keep going only comes from Him. Today, don't just hope that your business will succeed, but hope that the Lord will continue to give you the strength to keep achieving even higher goals.

Live, Laugh, Love More

Luke 6:27-28
"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."

Hatred not only consumes your mind with negativity, but it also consumes your attitude, your character, and your personality. Before you know it, this negative lifestyle becomes who you are and before long, you won’t even remember why you started disliking someone to begin with. In fact, they may still be mistreating you as a response to your negativity. Today, learn to move on from things from the past that have stopped you from being at peace. Today, love more, live more, and laugh more.

Say It With Your Actions!

James 1:22

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

Our talk must be backed up with action. If we truly want people to see us being more loving, giving, and dependable, we can't just use the words, we must be examples of those words by our actions. Remember, not only are people watching us, but so is God. Let Him see what we say we are.

He Chose You!

John 15:16

[Jesus says], "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit -- fruit that will last."

Whatever race God has asked for you to run; run knowing that He chose you out of so many because He knew you would be the best person represent His Kingdom to others. As others see the shine in your life, know that it came from God choosing you and the more they are attracted to the Kingdom, the Kingdom will grow.

Like The Dew In The Morning….

Psalm 119:147-148

I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night that I may meditate on your promises.

Meditation in the morning sets the tone for your day. It is during these quiet moments before the phone begins to ring or before the first E-mail is read where you have a moment alone with God. Just like the dew in the morning, let his direction gently rest upon your heart so that you will remember to stay connected to Him during the day.

Working For Your Harvest

Galatians 6:9

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Never feel like you're being taken advantage of when you're doing something good. Sure, you may not get thanked, recognized or even acknowledged; but, as long as you are working from your heart, God will always notice you. Today, don't work for the "thank you," work for your harvest.

Lift Your Head!

Psalm 121:1-2

"I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth"

Notice the word doesn't say peek at the hill or glimpse at the hill, but to actually lift your eyes to the hills to find your help. When you lift your eyes, it forces your head to lift. This automatically causes your circumstance to look smaller because all you can focus on is your change on the other side of the hill. Today, every now and then, lift your head up from the paperwork, the quotas, and the unwanted email and look beyond the hill.

Faith All Day!

Luke 13:18-19

Then Jesus asked, "What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches."

Big things come in small packages. And, just like faith, you only need a little bit of it to receive big blessings. Too often, we think we have to do large and exciting things to get God's attention. While taking on what appears to be a large project to bring people in the fold of Christ, God is more concerned that you kept your faith even when they didn't follow you to Him. Today, don't look for the big package to brighten your day, just keep a little faith with you to keep you happy through the whole day.

A Good Belief System

John 7:38

"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."

Yes, vitamins and herbs can keep you healthy, but the living water within you keeps you sustained. Because He lives, you can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all doubt is gone. The stream of living water in you is Jesus because you believe in His word; and when you believe in His word, you can achieve anything.

We Can Do This Together

James 3:16

Where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

The biggest threat against God's children moving forward together in unity are pride and a big ego. When your conversation with people tends to use the word, "I" more than "we", it is pretty safe to assume that selfishness has crept up into the relationship. When this happens, disorder is born and the ultimate goal of the group is lost. To avoid this from happening, we must be willing to let go of some of our hang ups and listen to the opinions and advice of other people. Today, let's shut down our egos and practice the "we" approach to getting ahead.

It Reaches To the Highest Mountain…

Jeremiah 32:17

"Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you."

Where ever God stretches His arms, know that you are also within this reach. All that He has made is great, including you. Today, stay encouraged that even your situation isn't too hard for God. Reach back to Him to receive your power to move forward.
