Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

Three little action words with so much power can take you to the next level. No matter how many times you've heard NO; keep asking, seeking, and knocking…sometimes God wants to see just how badly you want something.

Deuteronomy 31:8 "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

Today, you'll make different decisions than you did yesterday. Today, you will stretch yourself further than you did yesterday. Today, know that the path you are walking in, God already went ahead of you to make it easier than yesterday. Fear not, yesterday is gone.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

The reason why all of us do not have the same job is because we were not born with the same skill set. Each of us has a specific purpose and destiny to fulfill according to God's plan for His Kingdom. If you have been feeling out of place in your current walk of life, perhaps maybe it is time to self evaluate and find your true purpose. Remember, you were created in advance to do well.

Psalm 139:7-10 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

It won't always be about where you are going or how fast you can get there. No, the first question you must ask is, "Am I taking God with me?" Know that if you ask God to take one step with you, He'll give you the strength to take two. Today, take a step.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.

Trusting comes with believing. If you believe God's word, then you also trust His word will guide all your decisions. Today, trust that He is your loan officer, your dean of admissions, your class instructor, your auto mechanic, and even your employer. Trust that if your day is anchored in the Lord, He will be with you.

Psalms 5:8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

On Paul's journey to Damascus, he regained his sight on a road called STRAIGHT. It's not always easy to pull yourself away from temptations…especially once they have turned into a habit, but if you ask God everyday to make your way straight, you too will gain your sight and walk into your purpose. Have you asked Him to walk with you today?

Romans 14:19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

Making every effort includes letting go and letting someone else speak for a change. Staying quiet for just a moment can lead the discussion to peace quicker than engaging in a word for word battle. Today, let go!

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Taking your eye off your goal for just one moment can begin the perishing process. Remain focused or if you need to, refocus on where you want to be and keep that goal in your vision.

Ephesians 6:12 Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

The adversary loves it when God's children are not getting along. Disagreements will occur, but holding a grudge is not of God. Today, do not allow the spirit of anger, rage or irritation to prohibit you from showing patience, humility or love to those in your life.

1 Chronicles 16:11-12 Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.

No one is born weak; we become weak. When we allow weakness to overcome our purpose, God's strength has a tougher time to penetrate into the soul. Today, regardless of how weak the economy is making you feel, remember what God has already done for you. It's not just luck that you are still standing, it's the wonders He promised for you…You ARE one of God's miracles!

1 John 4:12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

You can always tell if God is in someone simply by the way they treat you and others. Today, be mindful of the people you encounter and be sure they can see God in you. Remember to always start with love and the rest will fall in place.

Isaiah 26:8 Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.

When we walk God's way, we learn to wait on His direction for our next turn. When we walk according to our own terms, we forget to listen for God. Allow your heart, mind and spirit to always be led by God and He will always direct your path.

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Casting your cares onto God is like casting out a net for fishing.  Sure, it goes down in water empty, but comes back up full.  If your anxiety has made you feel empty, cast it out to God, lay it in God's hands and He will fill you with wisdom, grace and mercy to see you through.

Proverbs 12:25 An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.

You may know someone who is experiencing stress, worry and fear and you notice how it has affected them spiritually, mentally, and physically. Today, offer a word of encouragement to someone who cannnot encourage their own spirit and your reward will be watching them walk into their victory.

James 2:8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing right.

Your neighbor isn't just someone in your neighborhood. It also represents the people on your job, in your classrooms, in your social organizations, and even the ones you have not met yet. The same way you enjoyed feeling loved by someone; show that same love to someone who may need it.

Revelation 21:1, 3 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them."

The excitement of being in a New Year shouldn't stop at Watch Night service or even after the New Year's meal is over. When God blesses us to see a "new thing," it is intended for us to stop focusing on what is now old and walk into our destiny. With each step you take towards your destiny, God is with you.

Ecclesiastes 10:10 Since a dull ax requires great strength, sharpen the blade. That's the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.

Do you drink your coffee the same way every day?  Do you take the exact same route to work every day? Give creativity a chance.  When you do everything the exact same way every time, you may be missing out on something great.  Sharpen the mind every day with new ideas, new concepts, and new experiences.  You will find yourself soar much faster when you sharpen the skills God birthed in you.

January 6, 2009

This day in 2002, I accepted my call to Preach and Teach the Gospel to all whom I come in contact with.  Also, this day in 2006, I started writing The Daily Inspirations.  This ministry has been nothing less of a tremendous blessing. I thank God for all of you!  I have met so many people through E-mail only...who would've thought the power of E-mail would connect so many people of faith!

As an assessment, I would love to know how far the Daily Inspiration travels.  Every morning, I send out 400 emails to CT, NY, NJ, NC, SC, GA, MI, NE, Jamaica, Iraq, MA, VA, KY, LA, Canada, Germany, PA, MD, DC, WA, CO, TN.  Daily Inspirations is also featured on CT's largest Internet Radio Station, WJRG, Gospel Inspirations - wwwjerrygreensgospel.com and can be followed via blogging, http://www.revorcooper-dailyinspiration.blogspot.com. So, today's million dollar question, "Where do you forward your Daily Inspiration and to how many people?" I can hardly stand to wait for the responses.  Thank you again for all your prayers and support!  Your Servant In Christ....Rev. O

Revelation 22:13

[Jesus says,] "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."

INSPIRATION

In order for God to have control in your life, you have to declare who He is in the beginning, praise Him in the middle, and bless Him at the end. Declare Him today to start something new in you and He will see you to the very end of that goal.

Genesis 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

God sees you trying your best to spread His good news and share positive energy with your peers; but that ole Devil keeps trying to stop you at every chance. This year, know that whatever the enemy is attempting to block you from building for the Kingdom, God is already preparing your upgrade.
