Replacing Anxiety with Praise

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Anxiety blinds you from hearing God and seeing His direction for your situation. Although the circumstance is making you feel one way, perhaps even indecisive; be sure you remember that God is bigger than your circumstance. Today, when you make your request to God, replace all anxiety and doubt with praise and faith and you will feel the tension being released from your body.

Tears of Joy!

Psalm 126:5

Those who sow in tears shall reap with songs of joy.

Sometimes, we need to cry in order to move forward! Tears allow us to feel pain, evaluate pain, cleanse us from pain, and more importantly, to help us get up after the pain. Once you have finished crying, the only thing you can feel is the joy of knowing that yes, you went through some hurting, but now you're wiser and stronger and ready to move forward. If you have to cry today, remember that joy will soon follow the tears.

Look At What He’s Already Done!

1 Chronicles 16:11-12

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.

Just at the moment when you think you need to stop working at something, stop yourself and talk to God! He has already made so many miracles and wonders happen in your life, so even at this moment, He can strengthen you to fulfill your goal. Tell God you want to succeed, stay committed to your request to Him and He will strengthen you every day until the job is done.

The Reward Is Worth It!

Matthew 25:23

[Jesus says,] "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'"

Awww…the beauty of receiving your reward after you have worked so hard feels so refreshing. Even though you may feel the pressure to stop what you're doing because you can't see the result right now, keep pressing! The passion you have for your project to be completed is driving you towards bigger opportunities, so stay the course, your goal is near!

Filled Up

John 6:35

Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty."

God's word not only fills your spiritual needs, but it also fills the other areas in your body to help you succeed. Whether it is about your finances, family, setting goals, health or even the fears you have about success, His word provides the right ingredients to make you feel filled up. Before you start your next goal, be sure to consult with God first so that he can give you a quick fill up before you go out to tackle it.

You Look So Much Better When You Smile

Psalm 108:1

God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Every type of brokenness has a source that can fix it. A broken car needs a mechanic. A broken table needs a carpenter, and a broken sink, needs a plumber. But, for things that need an internal recovery, we need God! Whatever has broken your spirit let God fix it so that you can go back to smiling again. When God fixes something, it's forever so rejoice in feeling fixed on His promises and He will always be with you. Besides, you look so much better when you smile.

While You Wait…

Psalm 27:14

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Waiting is not just an opportunity to let time pass by; but rather, it is an opportunity to do a self evaluation so that you're ready for your next goal. When God wants us to wait, He affords us with the opportunity to set new goals which will make us more productive in our daily lives and stronger against any enemies. If you find yourself waiting but haven't felt any change, then it's time to seize this opportunity to sharpen your mind and do something that will help you maximize your waiting period. Today, don't just wait; wait with strength knowing that God is with you!

Always in the Middle

Revelation 22:13

[Jesus says,] "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."

Everything in life has a beginning and an end. No matter what you start, before you get to the end, you will encounter a middle. The good news is that as long as you took God with you in the beginning, even the rough middle areas will get smoothed out to get you to the end. Today, realize that He's not only with you in the beginning and the end, but He's also with you in the middle so keep on moving forward.

Get Back on Track!

Galatians 5:7

You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?

Sometimes, everything can feel like it's going according to plan; then in just a moment, everything ends up off track without prior notice. Go back to that very moment and figure out what happened, who said what, and more importantly, how did it have enough power to stop you from moving forward. Once you figure out what happened, adjust your routine to make sure it doesn't happen again. Today, get back on track!

Trouble Makers Never Win

2 Corinthians 10:5

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Let's face it, trouble makers will always exist. They have it made up in their minds to never get along, to always stir up drama, and to keep others from rising. The good news is that they do not have the majority vote on their side, which is Christ Jesus. When those who are on the Lord's side realize they already have the victory, then we can stand stronger together to demolish anything that is trying to hinder forward movement. Today, when you hear negativity shut it down and remind them that unconstructive conversation will not get them anywhere.

God Is In Control

Isaiah 41:10

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Fear is usually created when we cannot control a particular situation. A lack of control can sometimes make us believe that if we can't control what is going on around us, then it may fail. Well, the good news is that when you know who has total control and that His word is for your good, then you do not need to fear anything! The moment you relinquish that control factor to God, He strengthens you to think about other ways to solve your problem and ultimately give you peace. Today, give Him complete control!

Forgiveness Frees the Heart

Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

A pure heart is a heart free from anger, judgment, jealousy, manipulation and deceit to name a few. Since God represents love and commands us to love one another, we must be willing to forgive one another if we want His grace & mercy. Forgiveness can be a hard pill to swallow, but it frees the heart from all the aforementioned diseases and allows love to flow more freely. Today, forgive!

Never Fear; God is Near

2 Timothy 1:7

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

As we approach the goals of each new day, the only fear we should have is the fear of not believing we can achieve. The work that God has begun in you is a good thing and was planted with the expectation that you would always believe in His power. Today, don't let fear distract you from remembering that you were born to be successful.

Far and Near at The Same Time

Jeremiah 23:23

"Am I only a God nearby," declares the LORD, "and not a God far away?"

God is not just a God of good times; but, He is also good when you think you can't feel His presence. He maintains His consistent goodness regardless of what season you may be in so maintain the same level of praise regardless of your surroundings. Today, in spite of how you feel, call on God anyway! He is the same God today as He was yesterday.
