Know Your Strength

Philippians 4:13

I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

INSPIRATION

You have strength because you have God; therefore, there are no limits to what you can achieve. This word doesn't offer hope for just some things; it promises that everything can be obtained as long as you remember who gave you the strength from the beginning. Today, remember, you are stronger than you realize so don't give up until your goal is accomplished.

You Can’t “Double-Click” Your Blessing

Hebrews 11:11

By faith Abraham, even though he was past age -- and Sarah herself was barren -- was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise.

INSPIRATION

In this day and age, we are so accustomed to receiving what we want when we want it. When we want to shop, we don't have to wait to go the store; some of us can shop right from our cell phones. When we want to meet someone, we don't have to necessarily wait until the next networking event; social networking is accessible anywhere. Unlike these resources, you can't "double click" your blessing from God. When God makes a promise, he reveals it when He thinks you're ready to handle it. The wait isn't designed to punish you, but to make you appreciate Him and His blessing even more. Today, don't give up on your request to God. More than likely, it's just delayed, but never denied.

Distractions Cause Chaos

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.

INSPIRATION

The only reason why we struggle with obtaining peace in our lives is because we are so easily distracted by things that bring us chaos. Trusting in God and maintaining a strong and steadfast faith in Him will allow you to determine what is good or bad for your Christian walk. Today, trust in your decision to let God lead and direct you.

God is Your Boss

Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

INSPIRATION

Since we tend to work harder when we know God is watching; today and always, God is your boss. He is watching you work through all your projects because completing those means that you will be blessed, your family will be blessed, and your finances will be blessed. Right now, whatever you're working on, stop thinking about who asked you do it. Rather, know that God also asked you to finish that project for your good.

A Prescription with Refills

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.

INSPIRATION

Consider your problems as a prescription to your potential. Problems get too large, let God's word shrink it. Problems become too difficult, let God's word fix. Remember, there is a scripture for everything you think you cannot handle…it's in God's word!

You’re Looking at a Miracle!

1 Chronicles 16:11-12

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.

INSPIRATION

While you search for different ways to overcome obstacles, be sure to always look to God first. There, you will find the strength that no infomercial, book, cd, or clinical professional can even compete with. While these are good resources, there is no recorded proof of them ever performing a miracle in anyone's life. Today, seek His face!

Stay Faithful

Hebrews 11:11

By faith Abraham, even though he was past age -- and Sarah herself was barren -- was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful.

INSPIRATION

As long as you remain faithful to God, He will be faithful to you and answer your request. Remember, our timing is not God's timing so it will never be too late to get the victory out of a situation. Stay faithful; it's on its way!

Stand Firm Together!

Philippians 1:27-28

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you.

INSPIRATION

Sometimes I think we think we only need to show love when we think God is watching, i.e.…in church or other worship settings. God expects us to always love and stand together regardless of the setting because He knows the adversary can attempt its destruction at anytime and at any given place. Notice, when we stand with one another, we feel protected and secure. The moment we begin to disagree and fall apart, the more we begin concentrating on whether someone is talking about us and our focus is turned from the Kingdom. Today, protect the Kingdom by standing firm with one another and we will surely put the devil under our feet!

Rejoice!

Romans 5:3

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us -- they help us learn to endure.

INSPIRATION

Rejoice! Even if God has delayed the answer you think you should receive, stay patient, stay encouraged, but most of all, stay in the race because the victory may be closer than you believe. Remember, our timing is not God's timing and if you rush Him or give up before He is finished with you, you will be disappointed.

Remember Differently

Philippians 3:13-14

One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

INSPIRATION

Forgetting past pains is not always easy to do, but it is necessary in order for you to move on. If you can't forget completely, then try remembering differently. If you can't forget how bad they hurt you, or how hard the economy has affected your finances, or whatever it is that you keep looking back on; then remember differently. Remember that through it all, God still kept you! Last time I checked, you can't press and look backwards at the same time. Today, remember differently and move forward.

Something New

Proverbs 15:32

He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding. –

INSPIRATION

While we may sometimes think we know it all, there will always be someone who can still provide new insight to your goals and help you achieve them faster. No matter how old we get, learning is still required and provides understanding. The older I get, the more I realize that I still have a lot of learning to obtain. Today, learn something new.

You Are Valuable

Psalm 119:37

Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.

INSPIRATION

What once use to have a shiny "bling" has turned into a hazy gray and is probably stopping you from moving ahead. You are God's greatest asset and you cannot allow the things of the world to steal your value. Today, stop surrounding yourself with things and people who do not share your same respect of what value means. Keep His word in you because for each new mercy He gives you, your value increases.

You Don’t Own Me

1 Corinthians 9:19

Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.

INSPIRATION

The idea of owning someone just because you did something for them is in complete opposition of God. We are supposed to want to help one another achieve more goals without the stigma of "ownership" hanging over anyone's head. If we showed more acts of unconditional kindness, then we would see more people succeeding with their goals. Today, do a good deed for someone because you care about their success.

Worry About Tomorrow???

Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

INSPIRATION

Most of us have been awake and actively working for approximately 2-4 hours already. We've opened our organizers, checked our email, confirmed appointments and now, we're ready for the day. In that same planner, does is say, "worry about tomorrow?" Probably not; so don't do it. Today, stick to today's plan…that is more than enough to handle.

Eyes Have Seen

Proverbs 21:2

All a man's ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart.

INSPIRATION

Your eyes respond to what you feel from your heart. When the heart is genuine, your eyes are more relaxed which relaxes the conversation and provides an atmosphere of peace. Deceitful eyes tend to become larger and excited creating a loud atmosphere with confusion and often, excuses. Know that in order for God to grant you all the desires of your heart, your heart must be genuine, free of excuses, grudges and deceit. Today, ask yourself, "What kind of heart will God see in me when He looks in my eyes."

Jesus – My BFF

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

INSPIRATION

How many of us can truly say that our friends will give up their life for us? The sacrifice Christ makes for you and I everyday is the greatest example of love and no friend on Earth can duplicate that gift. I'm so glad I am a friend of God!

Don’t Just Sit There, Plan Something!

Psalm 27:13-14

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

INSPIRATION

Waiting requires a ton of discipline. The waiting period is not the time to sit and not do anything, but it is the time to sit, reevaluate and create a new plan with God. This time should not be rushed but thought out thoroughly so when you are done waiting, you can walk stronger and with more confidence towards your goals. Today, wait with God for your next move and allow Him to direct your walk.
