Thanking God Afterwards

Ecclesiastes 5:19 "When God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work -- this is a gift of God." INSPIRATION: The luxury of affording some of life's pleasures can lead you to think you can't live without them. If you were thankful before you received these gifts, never grow weary in thanking God afterwards.

Having lived with a Bedouin family, I know we can live with just about nothing. So, an attitude of gratitude is something that everyone in the Western world should have -- or maybe, just maybe, we don't even need all those things that we want. Wouldn't it be great if what everyone would want most of all were a good relationship with God and second of all a good relationship with all God's creatures, and "things" were not even in the picture? That is the attitude I found among the Bedouins. And you know what? They are happier than most wealthy people I know.
