Your Hard Work Is Appreciated

Colossians 3: 23-24
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

INSPIRATION
When you put in long hours at work, it’s not because you want to…it’s because you have to take care of the family God gave to you. When you work hard for your family, you’re working hard for God. The next time your boss barely acknowledges your presence, just remember, there’s a loved one at home thanking you for all you do.

God Blocked It!

Psalm 124:2-5
If the LORD had not been on our side when men attacked us, when their anger flared against us, they would have swallowed us alive; the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, the raging waters would have swept us away.

INSPIRATION
Just like a quarterback is protected by his defensive line, God does the same for you and I. It could’ve been worse, but God blocked it! It could’ve destroyed you, but God blocked it! It could’ve torn up your family, but God blocked it! Whatever you face today, know that God has already blocked it for you so that you can reach your goal.

Write It Down

1 Corinthians 9:26

Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.

INSPIRATION

Just waking up and starting your day is not enough. You need to have a plan of action that leads you one step closer to achieving your goals. If you haven't written down your goals lately, now is a good time.

Reach For Peace

Romans 12:18

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

INSPIRATION

In order to receive your increase from God; your goal at the end of each day should be to find peace with everyone and every decision you made. Peace allows forgiveness, favor and the fortitude to reach new achievements and move you from good to great. Today, make it a peaceful day!

Healthcare Reform

Psalm 103:2

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

INSPIRATION

A benefits package is an added entity which makes you decide whether or not you want a particular job. Working for Christ works the same way. You either like the benefits of following Him or you think you don't need Him. Try to imagine a life without the benefits of Christ …there is no comparison.

I Just Can’t Give Up Now!

James 1:12

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

 

INSPIRATION

Circumstances in life only get worse when you give up.  It is easier to just give up, but it takes more energy to fail than to succeed.  Keep striving for a better you.  Keep pressing for growth.  Allow God to take you to the next level and you'll be so grateful for not giving up.

Moving on from “Borrowed” Loss

Luke 6:30

Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.

INSPIRATION

We all know someone who has "borrowed" something and never returned it. At this point, we should probably get over it and move on. The loss probably hasn't affected you that much and if it is helping them, then be glad they came to you with their request and that you were in the position to help them. Remember, it is always better to give than to receive.

Share Your Faith Story

Philemon 1:6

I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.

INSPIRATION

As we enter into the season of Lent. We should use the next 40 days to journey into the heart of God for a closer relationship with him. When we have a clearer understanding of the benefits from having a relationship with Christ, we can't help but want to share with others of how much better we feel because of who Christ is in us. Sharing what faith has done for you will help someone else through their own story. At the same time, it will remind you just how good God has been to you and how far He has brought you. Today, share your faith story with someone because they may need to see how well it worked for you and it may even encourage them to dig deeper into their own faith.

Who’s Your BFF?

Proverbs 13:20
He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harms.

INSPIRATION

Over time, I've learned to pick friends differently; and in this revelation, it has caused me to set higher goals for myself. It is important to figure out who in your life just wants to have a good time and those who want to help you succeed. If you only know people who just want to have a good time, then all you'll ever have is a good time, but never set any goals. But, if you choose people who want to have a good time WHILE succeeding, then you've got a good thing going. Today, choose your friends wisely and pay close attention to the influence they have in your life. If they're happy with where you are and never strike a conversation about where you can go next, then they may not be the BFF your soul needs.

Get a 2nd Opinion

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!

INSPIRATION

Having a 2^nd opinion on situations clears all doubt. Yes, you may think you know it all, but God has also equipped someone else in that same area to perhaps help you obtain your goal even quicker. Today, when approached with an opinion, receive it as advice. It may be the piece of the puzzle you've been trying to find all along.
