When Gossip is Good

Isaiah 12:4-5

"Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world."

 

INSPIRATION

Too often we are quick to only report bad news when good news is just as worthy to gossip about. "Good news gossip" allows God's word to reach everyone so that everyone can witness the miracles He performs in our lives. Today, gossip some good news and see how fast it spreads.

Moving Forward Together

Luke 12:48

From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

 

INSPIRATION

You didn't expect to receive all those blessings and not share it, right? However you reached your goals, it will be up to you to share that story with others so that everyone can understand how to receive the blessings of God. This means you may get called on more than ever to lead and direct others. Don't make them beg for the advice; give it freely so that together, you will move forward to even greater opportunities.

It Starts With the Foundation

Matthew 7:24-25

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."

 

INSPIRATION

Survival is dependent on how you started the course. If you want to go far and be successful, you have to start making smart decisions from the beginning. These decisions will create your foundation and your foundation will never move as long as you remain faithful to God and encouraged in the course He has designed for you. Today, stand firm on the rock!

Attention Getter

James 4:14

You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

INSPIRATION

When God exposes himself in your life, He shows you just enough to get your attention to follow Him. Today, know that He didn't vanish away forever; but that He wants you to always look for Him even when you feel He isn't there.

Turn It Around

Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

 

INSPIRATION

You have the power within yourself to turn a negative into a positive. Conversations with encouraging statements build strong relationships and will sometimes give you a new person in your circle of influence which can lead to an unexpected opportunity. Today, don't meet anger with anger, but turn it around for a positive result for everyone.

Get Back on Track

Galatians 5:7

You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?

INSPIRATION

There can be so many reasons why you keep stalling on your dreams and goals; but a good reason is usually standing right in front of your face. Reflect back on where you were when you started the course and then think back when you stopped. Now think, what cut it short? Get back to planning and finishing the race!

Let It Go!

Jonah 2:8

"Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs."

INSPIRATION

Anything that holds you from obtaining excellence is not worth holding onto. God's grace is not just for us to read about or just to experience; but rather, it is for us to grab hold of and keep holding onto while we work and strive for excellence. Today, take good inventory and get rid of the dead weight!

Talk It, Walk It!

Psalm 27:1

The LORD is my light and my salvation -- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life -- of whom shall I be afraid?

INSPIRATION

Fear is a state of the mind. If you think you can't succeed, then you are setting yourself up for failure, but, when you know God is the stronghold in your life, you walk around proud of yourself because you didn't let your fears stump your growth. Whatever you stand in fear of, change how you think about that obstacle, speak to that mountain and walk with God!

Take a Step

Psalm 139:7-10

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

INSPIRATION

It won't always be about where you are going or how fast you can get there. No, the first question you must ask is, "Am I taking God with me?" Know that if you ask God to take one step with you, He'll give you the strength to take two. Today, take a step.

God Is THE Confirmation

John 4:13-14

Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

INSPIRATION

We seek for validation from other people and other sources to make us feel good, but over time, it begins to fade and becomes inconsistent. The good news is that whatever God gives you, is intended to last forever. Continue to seek His approval and His direction for your life and as long as you stay on that course, you will never go wrong.

Desire Greatness!

GENESIS 12:2

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.

INSPIRATION

God's promise of greatness is for anyone who desires greatness. Every day is a new chance to get better and better at what you have been designed to perfect. And then the beauty of God's promise is that once you have reached this plateau, you will then be in a position to lift up others. Today, know that you are great!

Oooops, I slipped!

Psalm 94:18

When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O LORD, supported me.

INSPIRATION

It is God's love which lifts you when you can't feel love from anyone else. It is God's love which brings us out of darkness when the light cannot be found. It is God's love that touches you every morning to wake up and achieve goals beyond your imagination. Today, allow God's love to support you in all your decisions. Even if you feel yourself slipping, know that your support is standing right there waiting to catch you.

Write It Down

1 Corinthians 9:26

Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.

INSPIRATION

Just waking up and starting your day is not enough. You need to have a plan of action that leads you one step closer to achieving your goals. If you haven't written down your goals lately, now is a good time.

Control Issues

Proverbs 29:23

A man's pride brings him low, but a man of lowly spirit gains honor.

INSPIRATION

Letting go of your pride and your ego for just a moment will force you to look at a situation from someone else's eye. Today, try to increase your ministry of listening and denying your opinion to take control. When this occurs, both parties will gain more respect for the other.

“Listen”

Isaiah 30:21

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it."

INSPIRATION

Your relationship with God will always allow you to hear his direction. When you don't know which way to turn, shut down all the noise around you; shut out all the people around you and listen for the voice that will lead you in the right direction.

It’s Only Temporary

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.

INSPIRATION

No matter what title your affliction has, it is preparing you to be stronger in the fight against it. Since we are unable to see God's revelation beforehand, we must not give up too early. Until then, know that today's afflictions are only temporary and will not always be with you. Today, don't focus on your issue; know that only God will provide an immeasurable amount of favor to get you through.
