Wisdom=Winning!

James 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

INSPIRATION

Sometimes, the problem with asking somebody else for advice is that they may already know too much about you and will formulate their answer according to your past and not according to where you want to be. When you seek wisdom and direction from God, He picks you up right from where you are and will only direct you where you can win. Today, if you feel like you're still getting the short end of the stick; seek wisdom from God by listening more and talking less so that you can receive His Divine direction.

Because Of Who You Are…

1 John 3:18

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

INSPIRATION

As we enter into the Advent season, we will begin to show love through the exchanging of gifts. Christ was born for you and I as a gift from the Father as an example of unconditional love. This act was not performed because of who we are but because of who God is. This season, as you give gifts, give to somebody not because of who they are, but because of who you are. They will not only hear your love, but see how you love.

Stand Firm Together!

Philippians 1:27-28

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you.

INSPIRATION

Sometimes I think we think we only need to show love when we think God is watching, i.e.…in church or other worship settings. God expects us to always love and stand together regardless of the setting because He knows the adversary can attempt its destruction at anytime and at any given place. Notice, when we stand with one another, we feel protected and secure. The moment we begin to disagree and fall apart, the more we begin concentrating on whether someone is talking about us and our focus is turned from the Kingdom. Today, protect the Kingdom by standing firm with one another and we will surely put the devil under our feet!

Eyes Have Seen

Proverbs 21:2

All a man's ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart.

INSPIRATION

Your eyes respond to what you feel from your heart. When the heart is genuine, your eyes are more relaxed which relaxes the conversation and provides an atmosphere of peace. Deceitful eyes tend to become larger and excited creating a loud atmosphere with confusion and often, excuses. Know that in order for God to grant you all the desires of your heart, your heart must be genuine, free of excuses, grudges and deceit. Today, ask yourself, "What kind of heart will God see in me when He looks in my eyes."

Obstacles Out Of The Way

John 10:4

"When [Jesus] has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice."

INSPIRATION

Sometimes it seems easier to follow the advice of friends and family about decisions you need to make, but those voices have not gone out ahead of you to make the course easier. Even when we feel lost and far away from God, If you know Him for yourself, then you can walk with confidence knowing that He has already gone out ahead of you to clear some obstacles out of your way. Now, whose voice would you rather follow?

I Desire Amazing!

Joshua 3:5

Joshua told the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you."

INSPIRATION

If you want God to do something different in you, you have to do something different for God. You must think, act, and respond differently to how you want to achieve more goals. Start with the people and things around you that are stunting your growth. If something or someone around you isn't helping you grow, then it's time to separate yourself. Today, know that an amazing thing for you is on the horizon, but in order to receive it, you're going to have to be ready get uncomfortable and make some changes.

Push For Silence

Proverbs 17:28

Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue.

INSPIRATION

We all have something to say and for the most part, think that somebody needs to hear it, so we say it! Well, sometimes, the best answer to any conflict is when both parties stop talking, stop pointing, and stop blaming. It is at this point when all the yelling stops where resolutions can come in to present a way to bring the conflict to an end. Today, instead of pushing your opinion, push for silence. Know that it's okay to walk away and come back later.

A Level of Commitment

Psalm 37:5-6

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

INSPIRATION

Commitments in the beginning are very easy because the real work doesn't take effect until after the project is underway. Somewhere in the middle, you may begin to question yourself if you made the right decision or not; but, you arrived at that commitment for a reason, so you must see it through. Today, if you have lost sleep trying to get it done, keep on working. If you have lost some relationships to get the job done, keep on working. If you already see the light at the end of tunnel, keep on working because when it is all set and done, your hard work will be proven to have been worth it.

Struggling To Find Peace

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.

INSPIRATION

The only reason why we struggle with obtaining peace in our lives is because we are so easily distracted by things that bring us chaos. Trusting in God and maintaining a strong and steadfast faith in Him will allow you to determine what is good or bad for your Christian walk. Today, trust in your decision to let God lead and direct you.

Something to Brag About

Jeremiah 9:23-24

This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.

INSPIRATION

I don't mind people bragging or showing off what they have because if they've worked hard to get it, then kudos to them. I do mind when the bragger forgets to give honor to the one who gives them the ability to receive those bragging rights. As we attain more in our lives, it is important to remember that everything we have is only because God has provided the strength and knowledge for us to receive them. These temporary pleasures in our lives only please us. What pleases God is that we remember who it came from. Today, brag about how good God has been to you.
