Just Do It!

James 1:22-24 "Prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was." INSPIRATION: Actions speak louder than words. If God has worked out miracles in your life, it is because you not only trusted in Him, but also because you acted on His promise. When God sees us moving on His promises, He then blesses us. What has kept you from taking action on His word lately?

Your Spiritual Wardrobe

Colossians 3:12 "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." INSPIRATION: Some things are just automatic when you get dressed in the morning. You never forget a shirt, socks, pants, shoes, etc…Sometimes we forget the necessary garments like love, compassion, and especially patience to name a few. While it is important to never forget the physical clothing, don't forget to put on your spiritual wardrobe also which will help you deal with difficulties that may come your way today. Did you remember to put on patience this morning?

Stop all the Fuss!

Ephesians 6:12 "Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." INSPIRATION: The adversary loves it when God's children are not getting along. Disagreements will occur, but holding a grudge is not of God. Today, do not allow the spirit of anger, rage or irritations prohibit you from showing patience, humility or love to those in your life.

Count it all as Joy!

Job 8:21 "He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy." INSPIRATION: Right now, take an assessment of everything you possess. Next, reflect back to hard work and long hours you put into making it a reality. Now, smile and walk around for the rest of the day with joy in your heart knowing God was with you when you started, lifted you in the middle and carried you to your victory! Today, count it all as joy!

Meeting Needs

Luke 6:30 "Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back." INSPIRATION: We may not always receive the reason from somebody when they ask for a favor; but they came to you because they knew their need could be fulfilled. Today, don't worry about when you'll get something back from that person because chances are, you'll never see it again. Instead, know that if they still have it, they probably still need it and God will honor you for meeting their request.

God Will Work It Out!

Romans 8:28 "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." INSPIRATION: God is working it out right now, so stay close to Him. God is working it out right now, so don't grow weary. God is working it out right now, so keep the faith! God will work out HIS purpose in you if you love Him.

I Can’t Complain

Habakkuk 3:17-18 "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior." INSPIRATION: There may be times when it seems impossible to praise God when everything around you seems so dark; but always consider that your situation is probably still better than someone else's. As opposed to concentrating on your entire have not's, consider reflecting on all your possessions and begin to thank God for just the little things. Little blessings turn into big blessings when you begin to praise God!

The Trust Factor

1 Peter 1:7 "These [trials] have come so that your faith -- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire -- may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." INSPIRATION: I'm sure all of us would rather not go through difficult times, experience disappointments or even have a bad day. The problem is, if we lived a "worry-free" life, we wouldn't need God and we wouldn't feel the need to trust Him. Since there will be moments in your life where you need to trust someone other than yourself, allow your faith to trust in God. Once you grow out of the difficult moment, you'll know you have made it because of His faith in you. Now, give Him the praise, the glory and the honor for making the change in You!

Needs vs. Wants

Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." INSPIRATION: The "wants" in our lives are optional and the "needs" in our lives are essential. We should never just want to do good for others or just want to be nice; but rather, we need to do better for each other and we need to show love. Once you have turned your mission from wanting to live for Christ into needing to live for Christ, you'll never want for anything else!

An Act of Peace

Philippians 4:9 "Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me -- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." INSPIRATION: God plants seeds of wisdom all day to help us make peaceful decisions. If you want true peace, you must act on the decisions that will bring you there. Note: Peace requires change and the change you make today could be the change that will draw you closer to peace.
